Weston Adolph Ripplinger, age 87, of Driggs, Idaho died following a short illness at his home. Weston was born August 27, 1926 in Bates, Idaho to Carl and Alena Daniels Ripplinger. He attended Teton High School then Utah State University. He served an L.D.S. mission in the North Western States Mission from November 1947 - November 1949. Weston married Helen Atkinson on April 1, 1953. They made their home in Bates, farming and ranching. He has been very active in the L.D.S. Church. He has served as a Teton County Planning and Zoning commissioner, local Red Cross volunteer, Teton County Soil Conservation and Grassman of Teton County. He loved to garden and watch his children and grandchildren in their activities. He also loved to read to his grandchildren. He later served another mission with his dear wife Helen in the Corpus Christi Texas mission in 1992 - 1993. While serving on this mission they were blessed with five new grandchildren. Currently they have 3 sons; Terry, Mike, and Blaine, and 3 daughters; Debbie, Tammie, and Sherry, 24 grandchildren, two of which are currently serving missions, and 26 3/4 great grand children. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Driggs L.D.S. Stake Center with a visitation from 7 - 8:30 Sunday at the church and then from 9:30 - 10:45 prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in the Bates Cemetery.
