His mother is Janell Owen Green and his father who raised him, nurtured him and prepared him for life, is Brian Green. Jackson was raised in Alta, Wyoming.
Jack or "Farmer" as he was known by family and friends, worked for Unit Drilling as a tool pusher. Jack started working in the oil field at the age of 18. His skill, knowledge, insight, expertise and common sense advanced him to the position of driller by the age of 23. His self determination to make a difference and his ability to get the job done led him to be advanced to the position of tool pusher by the age of 26. Jack was professionally admired for his insight, problem solving skills and his responsibility for the safety of his crew.
Jack was married to Lisa Burnett Mangis and was father to Christian David Mangis, Karly Marie Mangis and Hali Joy Mangis. He was a dedicated father and husband. His wife and children were always the center for his attention and he devoted his life to them.
He is survived by his wife and children; his mother and father Brian and Janell Green of Rexburg, Idaho; his brother Justin Mangis of Ririe, Idaho and his paternal grandfather David Wayne Green of Alta, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Theo Owen and Johnny Owen of Wilson, Wyoming and his paternal grandmother Lois Green of Alta, Wyoming.
Memorial services will be held May 1, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Driggs Stake Center in Driggs, Idaho.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Wells Fargo Bank in Driggs, Idaho where a trust fund has been established for his surviving children.
