George Ephraim Jensen died May 29, 2009, of pneumonia and natural causes at his daughter's home in Boise, Idaho. He was born August 27, 1918 in Hayden, Idaho. He was the son of Ephraim Enoch Jensen and Mary Elizabeth Rawlins. He spent most of his life in Teton Valley as a farmer. George was a decorated war veteran of WWII. He held several positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a faithful member. George was one of five siblings, three having preceded him in death, along with his father and mother. George is survived by his wife, Evangeline Henrie Jensen, having been married 70 years. They have four children as following: George Conrad Jensen of St. George, UT, Darwin Henrie Jensen of Boise, ID, Sheryl Varnedoe of Oakland, TN and Shauna Christopherson of Boise, ID. George has 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Driggs on June 2, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the L.D.S. Stake Center. George will be put to rest in the Driggs Cemetery.
