After completing his studies, Andy moved to Jackson Hole, WY where he worked as a fisheries field technician for the Bridger-Teton National Forest and as a lab technician for a private laboratory. He then joined Intermountain Aquatics of Driggs, ID, where he was their stream habitat restoration construction manager which involved all phases of wetland projects.
Andy loved everything outdoors including alpine skiing, snow boarding, back country skiing and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Anika of Victor, ID, his father, Richard H. Smith, Jr., of Naples, FL, his mother, Lee Crawford of Charleston, SC, his sister, Whitney of Charleston, S. Carolina and his brother Nathaniel Smith, of Portland, OR.
There will be a celebratory service at a later date which will be posted in this news paper. Memorial gifts may be made in the name of Richard Smith F.B.O. Anika Lee Smith, 4661 Turnstone Ct., Naples, Fl 34119. A trust will be established for Anika's general benefit.
